Pear Deck was founded in 2014 and uses the same model as Nearpod. The biggest difference between the two models is that Nearpod is much larger at this point and dwarfs Pear Deck's valuation by over 100 million dollars. Nearpod also allows users to go back and revisit a slideshow after the lesson, while Peardeck does not. On the other hand, Pear Deck has partnered with Google so storage and Youtube videos are seamless with Pear Deck. In terms of potential growth, Pear Deck looks poised to either hit the stratosphere or land hard depending on how loyal its customer base stays.
